| A few very stupid manga questions.? Okay I have been reading manga for a while now and I have had a few questions here or there and have finally got around to asking them (I have tried looking them up but never got a straight answer). Some are stupid others are not, now to ask the questions. 1. When a manga is created and an anime is made based on it, do the anime people need to follow the manga (within reason, fillers not included) or do they need special permission to change it to how they want it. FMA (full metal alchemist) being an example? Decent question now on to a stupid one. 2. In manga when they refer to "bustier" do they mean a woman's boobs or their waist (not the clothes)? Stupid yes, let me explain. I have read quite a few manga and on about five occasions I noticed this. Some guy is talking about a girl and they say and I quote "That woman is a lot bustier then she appears." end quote. Right after this sentence they say something about her waist or when they say this, the drawing is centering on the waist. Is this some kind of Japanese custom or am I simply over thinking the issue. I don't have any manga examples, sorry. Stupid question but I would like to know, on to number three. 3. Do manga have to not show certain bad things that may have happened in the world? For example with anime if there are earthquakes around and destroy a lot of stuff they will sometimes delay the episode or cut it completely if its semi related. Is manga the same way or can they go and put whatever they want in there? Good question and a similar one coming up. 4. Are certain manga not allowed to show nudity or is it the author’s choice. I ask this cause in a few manga's I have notice that they start off no nudity and lack of any sexual jokes or anything. Then all of a sudden halfway through a series there's nudity and panty shots and sexual jokes references galore. Is it they got allowed to put this in or did they simply change the ratings to a higher state so they could include it or do the authors simply find out they get a sick kick out of drawing (hot >_<) nude scenes. Again sorry but no examples. Also I notice that some manga simply have no nudity or any sexual references at all yet are pretty violent and hardcore. This leads me to believe it’s the author’s choice but I am still curious. Yeah for decent questions. 5. Do manga authors have to work in some big company or can they work all alone and simply pay to have it published (no matter what it is) like some book authors? Good question and now back to a bad question. 6. In manga is there a limit to the nudity they can show or is it based on the rating and type of the manga. Say for example a manga is mostly action-y and then they bust it into nudity on every page action-y manga. Can they do this with out it being considered a flat out hentai manga or can they have nudity on every page and it considered to be a normal manga. Well as long as were onto nudity I may as well ask. 7. When nudity is in manga it is often never hardcore, boobs and *** at most. So my question being, are they allowed to put in more then that or do they just choose not to. I googled this a while back and got to a decent manga (don't remember the name.), with quite a bit of nudity but was still a really good read. This manga however showed more hard class nudity. Complete frontal with woman and with men it was always blurred out. No sexual scenes, just nudity. So to extend on that question earlier, when frontal nudity is included are they allowed to show male frontal or only female? It differs for every anime, there's no YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE GUIDELINE but it's in the anime director's best interest to do so. I know Full Metal Panic had to delay anime episodes near the end because of a similiar catastophy that happened in Japan was also in the anime. 4. 100 % authors choice. 5. They don't have to work in big companies. Anyone can make and publish manga. If you're in a big company, you have a greater chance of being sale to sell it to bookstores. Think about it, if you're a nobody why would big bookshops want to purchase your books? 6. Ok. Author creates anime/ manga however she/he wants to. It can have nudity in every page or nudity in some pages or no nudity. After the manga is published, an organisation rates and thats the official rate. No guidelines to these things. 7. No LOL there's NO GUIDELINES on that . It is the will of the artist. Ratings .. etc are only placed after the manga is created. | Waist cinching? Corset? HELP!? So, First off, I'd like to say I am a Halloween Junkie. It is my religion. I never used to be heavy into it, then I made friends with someone who's hardcore into, so last year i gave it a shot with an over the top costume, and I had the time of my life. So, here I am in February plotting this years costume and i decided on vying for a convincing Miss Jessica Rabbit. Makeup, hair, breasts, and outfit are all pretty much under control. Im only having one internal debate... That impossibly tiny waist. Now, Im very thin as it is, having a 26" waist while standing at 6'2". Now im just looking to make my naturally small waist cartoonishly tiny. I know my way around a corset, I used one with last years costume *Jack Skellington*. and it worked great. However, the dress I have for Jessica has a very low V-back rendering the corset useless. The breast forms I have are stick-ons, so no bra is needed.My question is, what should i use to get that tiny waist? the tinyer the better.i havent seen a corset or bustier that is low enough to be hidden under the dress. So Im looking more into cinching belts or girdles. Does anyone have any experience with these?
