| How did porn get onto my last played in WMP? Ok, I'll try to explain my situation. Today I got a movie in the mail from Netflix. I put the movie into my computer and watched all of it. After it was over the credits were rolling and I wanted to see the special features so I clicked last played button thinking this would bring up the main menu of the movie. Well instead I get a clip of (well i won't go into detail) but something I didn't want to see. This video clip was entitled ivory in ebony and when I clicked properties it said it was from some galleries at videosz.I live with another adult and guyren and I have parental blocks on my computer to prevent this sort of thing. So what I need to know is... Is it possible the last played came from the Netflix dvd? Does the last played also save things that were played by dvd? that would explain the parental block failure. And lastly it said this was part 43 of the video so is whoever's watching this also downloading an entire movie length porno onto my computer? |
| I am afraid it is impossible that the "last played" item came from the DVD, a DVD makes no mark on your computer like that. In addition, the DVD itself does not "play" anything, WMP loads the DVD and plays it, just the same as it loaded the porn and played it. Finally, it could be possible that the person who downloaded the video downloaded the entire movie, although it would not be necessary to play the one video you accidentally came across. While having parental controls and blocks set up on a computer does wonders to reducing the chance your guyren can come across porn it is not a perfect solution. I would suggest you purchase software like Spector Pro 2010 (Available at this link: www.spectorsoft.com/products/Spec… Spector Pro records everything that occurs on your computer and you can play it back as a video, it also logs chats, etc. this would allow you to figure out who is looking at porn on the computer. I wish it was as simple as to say that porn can just "appear" but it is something that must be commonly seeked out, especially given it was loaded in WMP. Hope this helps! |
